Liz Owens, founder of Haus of Worthship

About the Haus · Est. 2025 · Los Angeles

Worthy AF. Halo optional.

Why I built the Haus

How do women build unshakeable self-worth in a world that profits off our insecurity?

Liz by a sunlit window, arms crossed

After years of watching brilliant, cool, capable women chase borrowed definitions of success while feeling completely disconnected from themselves (and feeling the same way myself), I realized the business of personal growth wasn't built for all of us.

The self-help industry attempts to “fix” us with one-size-fits-all solutions. Therapy asks us to reflect and process on our own. Society tells us to be grateful for what we have, and people don't understand why we can't just relax and be happy.

It's a question I couldn't stop asking, so I built Haus of Worthship as the answer. This is not another program to take or guru to follow. It's a space where unconventional women can explore their biggest questions through open exploration and unfiltered conversation.

My dream? That every woman learns to trust herself so deeply, she chooses her life from a place of worth instead of wound.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Liz. I've been on both sides of this.

I'm a certified life and career coach. My background is in corporate talent and culture, where I developed leaders through presence and curiosity. It turns out the same things move a woman forward in her own life.

What I watched for years was capable women stalling out on things they already knew the answer to, then apologizing for having wanted them in the first place. You're not broken. You're interesting. The Haus is where we work on that directly.

  • Growing up in “90210”never quite fitting in
  • The chubby siblingshame as motivation
  • A father's unchecked angerlearning to read the weather
  • Chasing perfectiondropping the things I loved
  • Todayfrom survival to self-reverence

What we stand for

Get curious. Write your own rules. Worship thy self.

01

Curiosity over convention

We reject the illusion of “normal.” Curiosity is our compass as we unlearn the scripts we were handed and start asking questions that serve us better.

02

Unfiltered belonging

We hold space for the messy, the dark, the tender and the harsh work-in-progress parts of you. Think of it as the anti edit. Come as you are, no matter who you’re becoming.

03

Permission to disrupt

We stand against perfection and performative healing. Growth here looks more like self-led rebellion than spiritual obedience.

04

Depth + play

You’re allowed to be serious about your growth and still laugh at how weird it is to feel human. We lean into both, and it makes self development a hell of a lot more fun.

05

Creativity as a life force

Creativity is not about output, it’s about expression. When we reconnect to that part of ourselves, energy is reignited, clarity comes, and things start to shift.

06

Sustainable growth over instant enlightenment

True self-reverence is a long game. We prioritize accountability and support realistic growth with a layered, lived-in approach.

The Worthy AF Method

You can see it happening. Here's how you stop it.

Most self-development gives you one insight and calls it finished. This loop runs under every session, so last month's insight shows up in how you handle this month's decision.

1

Notice

Catch it while it's actually happening, not three days later in a journal. Your jaw, your shoulders, your handwriting getting smaller.

2

Ask

What has this been protecting you from, and is it still serving you?

3

Act

Take the smallest real version of the different choice. Send the email after one read.

4

Repeat

Do it again, until the new evidence outweighs the old story.

Pick how to work with us

Three ways in. Pick the one you're ready for.

Most women leave a workshop with a real insight and slide back into the old pattern within two weeks. The Haus exists for that part. Not sure which door is yours? That's what the Haus Call is for.

Hausmates

A specific room, led by a specific woman. High Tea, our live group coaching, meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday with the same women, so what you figure out is still there next week.

Questions

Before you move in

Is this another fluffy self-help club?

No. No beige yoga mats, no toxic positivity, no forced group hugs. It's a room of smart women being honest about the patterns that run their lives, with a coach who asks the next question.

Is this therapy?

No. Liz is a certified life and career coach, not a therapist. Coaching here works on what's happening now and what you do next. If you're already in therapy, the Haus sits well alongside it, and Liz will tell you plainly when something belongs with a clinician.

What is High Tea?

Our live group coaching, and the heart of Hausmates. It meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month for 90 minutes, with no set theme. You bring what's actually going on, with the same women each time.

What is a Haus Call?

A free 20-minute conversation about where you are and whether the Haus fits. It isn't coaching and it isn't a sales pitch. You leave knowing your next step.

Who is it for?

Women and femme-aligned folks who did everything right, are very good at being needed, and are tired of shrinking what they actually want. If you've tried the self-help things and they faded by Thursday, you're in the right place.

Do I have to share my deep, dark secrets?

No. Share what you want, when you want. You still get the rep by listening to someone else say your private thought out loud first.

Why “Worthship”?

Because self-help started to feel like a cult, so we made our own. Worthship means revering yourself, the messy, in-progress version included, without apology.
